After two open weeks, mainly due to `Ghajini`, the coming Friday will see a host of new but small budget ventures. The list includes the Sneha Ullal starrer `Kaash ... Mere Hote`, Hrishita Bhatt`s `Bad Luck Govind` and the English film, `The President Is Coming`. From the three only `Bad Luck Govind` and to lesser extent `The President Is Coming` is expected to make some impact. However, chances are that the older releases like `Ghajini` and `Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi` will still be too strong for the newer ones!

Coming to the first Christmas release, `Jumbo`, the film flattered to deceive, after a quite good opening day. The Akshay Kumar voiceover animated venture was no match for Aamir Khan`s `Ghajini` and has been totally rejected.

The second release of the Christmas week, A.R. Murugadoss`s Aamir Khan, Asin, Jiah Khan and Pradeep Rawat starrer, `Ghajini`, the film broke almost every conceivable record at the ticket windows, from the A to the Z centres! The collections for the 8-day plus (including paid previews) run are mind boggling to say the least. One more surprising aspect of the runaway success of `Ghajini` is that it has scored fabulously well in the Overseas circuit (barring to some extent UK). This will undoubtedly be the biggest hit of Aamir Khan abroad.

In the wake of the `Ghajini` tsunami and reduced number of shows, `Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi` managed its share of the festive pie, even in its third week, mainly due to family patronization and SRK star power. It may come as a surprise to many but the film is still setting records, especially in the central parts of India. Needless to add that like most Shah Rukh Khan starrers, `Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi` is a huge success in the Overseas. The two biggest markets, US and UK have both crossed $2 million each.
