| This week an interesting clash is on the cards between David Dhawan’s `Do Knot Disturb` and Karan Johar’s Ayan Mukerji directed `Wake Up Sid`. And that because the two movies look quite diverse and cater to separate audiences. While the Govinda, Lara and Ritesh starrer `DND` looks funny and interesting and will appeal to the masses and a section of the multiplex crowd, the Ranbir-Konkona starrer `WUS` seems to be on the top of the list of the to-see films of the city youth and the campus crowd. |

Last Friday saw the release of Ashutosh Gowariker’s Priyanka Chopra and Harman Baweja starrer, `What`s Your Raashee?`. The film saw a very good opening at some cinemas of Bombay circuit, and the opening was good in select cinemas of some other circuits, but average to dull otherwise. Trade feels that despite the creditable effort, the 22-23 crore `What`s Your Raashee?` will entail losses to the makers, mainly due to the excessive length and lack of humour in the proceedings. The film has been rejected in the Overseas.

Boney Kapoor’s Prabhu Deva directed Salman-Ayesha starrer, `Wanted`, has done supremely well in single-screens and small centers, but is not upto the mark in the multiplexes. But what cannot be denied is that it has managed impressive shares, thanks to a surge in collections on Monday and Tuesday (Eid festival). The film has been quite ordinary in the Overseas.

After a dull start, Yash Raj`s `Dil Bole Hadippa` picked up on Sunday and continued its upward curve on Monday (Eid festival), but collections crashed thereafter. However, given its reasonable costs and the fact that Yash Raj are also the worldwide distributors and hold all the non-theatrical rights as well, `Dil Bole Hadippa` will ultimately be profitable for them.
