| This week has three new releases, as Suparn Varma`s `Acid Factory` takes on Devang Dholakia`s `3 Nights 4 Days`. It is obvious that the Sanjay Gupta’s Danny, Manoj, Fardeen, Dino and Diya starrer `Acid Factory` (releasing with a huge 800 prints in India and 100 in the Overseas), will be the front runner followed by the Anuj Sawhney-Hrishita Bhatt venture, `3 Nights 4 Days`, that banks on positive word-of-mouth. The third release `Shabaash! You Can Do It!`, has little or no chances. |

Released at 84 cinemas of Bombay city and suburbs (thru UTV Motion Pictures), the Ranbir-Konkana starrer, `Wake Up Sid`, saw an excellent opening, outside of Bombay the opening was generally good in cities. In the Overseas, the film was ordinary in the UK but decent in the US. Chances are that the price at which the Ayan Mukerji `Wake Up Sid` has been acquired (without music rights) by its worldwide distributor UTV, it will be profitable for them.

The other release, of the same week, the Govinda, Sushmita, Lara, Ritesh and Sohail starrer, `Do Knot Disturb`, was released at 109 cinemas of Bombay city and suburbs (by Big Pictures) and saw a good opening, outside of Bombay the opening was good but not as expected. The collections saw a pronounced fall from Monday and at best the film may just about manage to break even. `Do Knot Disturb` has also been rejected in the Overseas.

Boney Kapoor’s Prabhu Deva directed Salman, Ayesha and Prakash Raj starrer, `Wanted` is excellent in single screens but has dropped markedly in multiplexes. U.P. and Bihar continue to score fabulously. The film though is ordinary to poor in the Overseas.

Yash Raj Films’ Rani-Shahid starrer `Dil Bole Hadippa` has crashed badly during the second week. In the Overseas, the film is doing decently in the UK. Given its reasonable costs and the fact that Yash Raj Films are also the worldwide distributors, and hold all the non-theatrical rights as well, `Dil Bole Hadippa`, is an average fare for them, despite its below par performance.
