This week will see Vipul Shah’s Salman, Ajay and Asin starrer `London Dreams` and Sujoy Ghosh’s `Aladin`, which features megastar Amitabh Bachchan with Ritesh Deshmukh along with debutante Jacqueline Fernandez. While `London Dreams` is likely to start off on a bright note in the cities and Overseas (thanks to Studio 18’s superb promotion), `Aladin` may just spring a surprise due to getting attention from its target audience, the kids!

 New Releses  Verdict: Flops
Weekly Earnings: -  Total Earnings: -
Last Friday’s three releases `Fruit & Nut`, `Love Ka Tadka` and `Bal Ganesh 2` failed to entice the audience who preferred the Diwali releases, especially `All The Best`. The openings of `Fruit & Nut`, `Love Ka Tadka` and the animated `Bal Ganesh 2` varied from weak to very poor and the disastrous outcome is obvious for all the three!

 Blue  Verdict: Awaited
Weekly Earnings: India Rs. 32 crore ; UK£80,590  Total Earnings: India Rs. 32 crores ; UK£378,236
PB Rating: 7.0 out of 10  Public Rating (by 400 unique users): 5.17
Director: Anthony D’Souza  Producer: Dhilin Mehta
Music: A.R. Rahman  Lyrics: Abbas Tyrewala, Mayur Puri, Rajat Arora, Sukhwinder Singh, Raqueeb Alam
Starring: Sanjay Dutt, Akshay Kumar, Lara Dutta, Zayed Khan, Rahul Dev and Katrina Kaif, Kabir Bedi
 Genre: Action  Recommended Audience: General
Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision`s `Blue` started off on a brilliant note, its collections started dropping from Tuesday and badly from Wednesday. Despite that the Dutt, Akshay, Zayed and Lara starrer managed handsome shares in India (20 crores) and abroad in the first week. Given the competition, that is a good performance, but it has to be seen if it is good enough, given its huge 80 crore budget! The film is also doing satisfactory but below expectations business in the Overseas.

 All The Best  Verdict: Awaited
 Weekly Earnings: India Rs. 23 crore ; UK£21,265  Total Earnings: India Rs. 23 crore ; UK£86,934 ; US$120,713
Director: Rohit Shetty  Producer: Ajay Devgan
 Music: Pritam  Lyrics: Kumaar
Starring: Ajay Devgan, Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan, Bipasa Basu, Mugdha Godse, Asrani
 Genre: Comedy  Recommended Audience: General
Although `All The Best` was a slow starter, it picked up from the third day onwards, thanks to media support and the resulting positive word of mouth. The jump was especially pronounced in the comedy patronizing areas of Bombay and also parts of Gujarat and C.I. Though its performance is not a patch on last year’s Diwali release `Golmaal Returns` from the same team, but it is almost certain now that the 40 crore venture will be a success for all concerned. The film though has been totally rejected in the Overseas and discontinued at most places in the US after just a week.

Main Aurr Mrs Khanna  Verdict: Disaster
 Weekly Earnings: India Rs. 8 crore ; UK£39,715 ; US$36,549  Total Earnings: India Rs. 8 crore ; UK£183,743 ;US$184,952
PB Rating: 4.5 out of 10  Public Rating (by 400 unique users): 5.17
Director: Prem R. Soni  Producer: Ronnie Screwvala, Sohail Khan
Music: Sajid-Wajid  Lyrics: Jalees Sherwani, Junaid Wasi, Arun Bhairav
Starring: Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Sohail Khan
 Genre: Romantic  Recommended Audience: General
It was obvious from the first day that `Main Aurr Mrs. Khanna` was a doomed project and the collections only confirmed that. The Salman, Kareena and Sohail starrer has also failed in the Overseas, but has surprisingly fared much better than `All The Best`.

Wake Up Sid  Verdict: Above average
 Weekly Earnings: India Rs. 1.40 crore ; UK£1,103 ; US$ 18,976  Total Earnings: India Rs. 26 crore ; UK£250,067 ;US$710,487
PB Rating: 8.0 out of 10  Public Rating (by 400 unique users): 5.17
Director: Ayan Mukerji  Producer: Hiroo Yash Johar & Karan Johar
Music: Shankar Ehsaan Loy, Amit Trivedi (Guest)  Lyrics: Javed Akhtar, Amitabh Bhattacharya (Guest)
Starring: Ranbir Kapoor, Konkona Sen Sharma, Rahul Khanna, Anupam Kher, Shikha Talsania, Supriya Pathak, Namit Das
Genre: Comedy  Recommended Audience: Parental Guidance
Despite the fact that Karan Johar’s `Wake Up Sid` had to surrender a lot of screens to the Diwali releases, it still managed to obtain some good numbers. Given the fact that the Ranbir-Konkona starrer has additional screens from this week (thanks to `Main Aurr Mrs. Khanna`) the film is all set to improve its above average status. `Wake Up Sid` has performed quite well in the Overseas.

 Wanted  Verdict: Hit plus
Weekly Earnings: India Rs. 0.50 crore  Total Earnings: India Rs. 60.50 crore
PB Rating: 7.0 out of 10  Public Rating (by 401 unique users): 5.18
Director: Prabhu Deva  Producer: Boney Kapoor
Music: Sajid-Wajid  Lyrics: Jalees Sherwani, Sameer, Arun Bhairav, Wajid Ali, Shabbir Ahmed
Starring: Salman Khan, Ayesha Takia Azmi, Mahesh Manjrekar, Prakash Raj
 Genre: Action  Recommended Audience: Adult
Boney Kapoor`s Salman Kkhan, Ayesha Takia and Prakash Raj starrer, `Wanted` also managed some good bonus Diwali numbers. The film though has been rejected in the Overseas.
