| This week will see the holi weekend, which is not as bountiful as the diwali or eid period but collections definitely improve. And it will be megastar Amitabh Bachchan taking on the `Don` (new) director Farhan Akhtar as `Teen Patti` clashes with `Karthik Calling Karthik`. Both the films have been well promoted and boast of good cast and production values, and Bollywood will definitely look forward to its next success of the year after `Ishqiya` and `My Name Is Khan`. |

From the day Karan Johar’s `My Name Is Khan` released, we have been bombarded by totally contrasting news. While one lobby had doomsday prophecies and ‘inside stories’ about how the collections had nosedived to 7-8 percent, the other end of spectrum saw totally positive news about how every possible record had been shattered by MNIK! The fact of the matter is `My Name Is Khan`, after overcoming the release hurdles, had a great weekend, and after that collections dipped (even sharply) in the smaller sub-teritories of C.P. , C.I. and Bihar, but the film held beautifully in places where it mattered and from where big numbers have accrued. In fact `My Name Is Khan` has generated a distributors share of 26.20 crores in its opening week itself! The film is is sure to emerge as another global triumph for the Karan, Shah Rukh and Kajol team. `My Name Is Khan` is huge and record breaking in the Overseas.
