| This Friday will see the release of Mehul Kumar’s `Krantiveer : The Revolution` and Pravesh Bhardwaj’s `Mr.Singh Mrs. Mehta`. Given the promotion and the fact that the original `Krantiveer` is still fresh in the mind of the audience, its sequel is likely to score over `Mr.Singh Mrs. Mehta`. |

It was expected that `Raavan`, the next offering from the Mani Ratnam, A.R. Rahman , Abhishek and Aishwarya team would surpass and in fact double the success of the team’s first offering `Guru`. However it was a sort of an anti climax as the opening day saw `Raavan` managing just a fair opening in Bombay. Outside of Bombay, the opening was good at places and dull at others. Given the fact that budget for all the three versions of `Raavan`, including cost of print and publicity is in the region of Rs. 80 to 90 crores and Big Pictures (the worldwide distributors) have a total investment of Rs. 110 crores, trade predicts a bleak future for `Raavan`. Even in the Overseas, the film has failed to impress.
