| This week’s new release is Karan Johar’s Punit Malhotra directed `I Hate Luv Storys`. The Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor starrer has got quite favourable reactions from the campus crowd and has embarked on a good start at multiplexes and also at high end cinemas in the cities. |

Last Friday’s `Krantiveer-The Revolution` saw a dull to weak opening across India. The reason is very simple. The makers had hoped that the promising newcomer (but still very young and in-experienced) Jahan Bloch would take over from where the actors of the caliber of Nana Patekar and Dimple Kapadia left in `Krantiveer`. And it was just not possible!

Mani Ratnam’s `Raavan` has not found much appreciation, the Tamil version `Raavanan` and the dubbed Telugu version `Villain`, have fared much better than the Hindi version. Trade feels that the worldwide distributor Reliance Big Pictures is bound to lose around a third of its huge investment, after taking into account the business of all the three versions. The Abhishek, Aishwarya and Vikram starrer has also been rejected in the Overseas.
