| The slow start of Milan Luthria`s Ajay, Emraan, Kangna and Prachi starrer, `Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai`, was a sort of an anti-climax, especially after all the good reviews and predicted good start by the trade. Thankfully, the film picked up substantially by the evening and a healthy weekend is on the cards. |

Last Friday’s Priyadarshan directed Akshay Kumar and Trisha Krishnan starrer, `Khatta Meetha`, got off to a good start in places like Bombay-Maharashtra (more at the single screens), Gujarat and U.P but was dull in Delhi city and South. Though these are early days the film was expected to open much better though not on the level of `Housefull`. Thankfully, the weekend saw a positive growth but the film has to sustain at least till the second weekend to be termed a success, despite its reasonable costs for an Akki-Priyan project. The film has had an ordinary run in the Overseas, despite an entry at number 7 in UK charts.

The other release of the same week, the Ali Zafar starrer `Tere Bin Laden` picked up remarkably at select multiplexes but remained poor at the remaining cinemas. Given the fact that the film has quite low costs and has maintained quite well during the second weekend too, the film is all set to be a success, more so due to the good satellite rights.

Anurag Kashyap’s `Udaan` also shot up in a few multiplexes but was dull elsewhere. The film will be a safe preposition for all concerned, once the non-theatrical rights are accounted for.

Boney Kapoor’s much delayed Shahid-Kareena starrer `Milenge Milenge` is ending its run but given the fact that the makers are also the worldwide distributors and all the rights rest with them, the Satish Kaushik directed film will be a profitable venture for all concerned, especially due to the low costs and the handsome satellite rights.
