| While the nation is still swinging to the joint festivities of Eid and Ganesh Chaturthi, Salman Khan`s `Dabangg` is smashing domestic records of `3 Idiots` left right and centre. The first Friday milestone of 13 crore has gone and the weekend record of 41 crore (including Thursday paid previews) set by `3 Idiots` will also be surpassed by `Dabangg`. The film is also doing exceedingly well in UK, Middle East and Australia. |

The opening of Karan Johar’s 32 crore (Release costs included) `We Are Family` was never expected to be great but no one expected it to be so much below the mark. Except for Gujarat the Kajol, Kareena and Arjun starrer has had a very ordinary (extended) weekend to show and will just about break even. Even more shocking is the performance of the Dharma Production venture in the Overseas.

The poor fate of Nagesh’s John Abraham starrer `Aashayein` was obvious from day one. The film had a poor week.

The collections of Yash Raj’s Pradeep Sarkar directed Deepika-Neil starrer `Lafangey Parindey` fell heavily. Thankfully, with all rights of the 12-13 crore film resting with the makers Yash Raj Films (who are also the distributers), `Lafangey Parindey` will manage to earn some profits. Unfortunately the film is a washout in the Overseas.
