The weak opening of last Friday’s Mohit Suri directed Emraan Hashmi starrer `Crook` came as a shock for the know alls. Given the topical theme of racial discrimination and the reasonably popular music it was expected that `Crook` would embark on at least an above average start. However barring the good start in East Punjab, it was a so-so performance. The film has also been rejected in the Overseas.

The Rishi-Neetu starrer, `Do Dooni Chaar`, got a lot of praise and critical acclaim but unfortunately it did not translate into even a half decent opening, though it fared well in North India.

Though Shankar’s `Robot` could not emulate the superb performance of the Tamil version, `Enthiran`, but the dubbed Hindi version picked up from the second day onwards and remained steady with medium collections even during the weekdays. Even the second weekend has seen a steady performance. In a way the film has found appreciation all over India while the original Tamil and to an extent the Telugu version has seen amazing numbers. The film has done great business in the Overseas.
