While `Tanu Weds Manu` saw a decent start (mainly in North & Central India), `Satrangee Parachute` had no takers. Trade is hopeful that despite the ICC World Cup Cricket `Tanu Weds Manu` will score at the turnstile! |

Just like most of the recent releases, after a slow start Vishal Bhardwaj’s `7 Khoon Maaf` too showed some improvement over the weekend. However the pick up was not substantial and given the fact that `7 Khoon Maaf` is a 22 crore film it will have to improve further and more importantly perform well in the coming weeks as well. `7 Khoon Maaf` has been rejected in the Overseas.

On paper the run of Nikhil Advani’s `Patiala House` appeared quite steady with no alarming crash after the weekend. Unfortunately the weekend (15.25 crore) was itself quite below par (for an Akshay Kumar starrer) and so it is a disappointing opening week followed by a poor second weekend and not much hope for `Patiala House`. The film though has improved in the UK and is reasonably steady in the US.

Madhur Bhandarkar`s `Dil To Baccha Hai Ji` fell heavily but still managed some more rewards for the distributors. As `Dil To Baccha Hai Ji` has been sold to the distributors for a very reasonable 13 crore, the Ajay-Emraan starrer is now an average fare. The film though has been rejected in the Overseas.
