The opening of Rohan Sippy’s `Dum Maaro Dum` was never expected to be bumper, though a 50-70 percent initial was very much on the cards. But the start of the Abhishek Bachchan, Bipasha Basu, Rana Daggubati and Prateik starrer turned out to be much lower than expected and varied between 20-40 percent. However, thanks to some good reviews and decent word of mouth the film did show an appreciation in the matinee and evening shows. If `DMD` can capitalize and pick up more during the weekend there can still be a turnaround in it’s fortune.

As we had said in our last report, after a slow start Anees Bazmee’s `Thank You` showed a healthy growth during the weekend and performed quite decently during the weekdays. The film also had steady second weekend. The Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty , Irrfan Khan, Sonam Kapoor and Rimi Sen starrer, `Thank You` has ordinary collections in the Overseas, though it is steady on the lower side here!
