| This week saw two new releases, Yash Raj Films` (Y-Films) `Luv Ka The End` and Vikram Bhatt`s Mahakshay starrer, `Haunted 3 D`. Though it was obvious that that `Haunted 3 D` would dominate `Luv Ka The End`, but the extent of dominance turned out to be totally one sided. While the collections of `Haunted 3 D` were average in the 2 D version (20-45 percent), it was a totally different story as far as the 3 D version is concerned as the occupancy varied from 60-70 to even 100 percent at some screens. Coming to `Luv Ka The End`, the film has ordinary collections (5-20 percent) and even the audience feedback is quite negative. |

As expected Lara Dutta`s `Chalo Dili` did quite well at the multiplexes and given the reasonable budget, the film is expected to be a plus venture for all concerned.

Though it was not expected to have a big start at the ticket window, Balaji Motion Pictures’ `Shor In The City` has managed a surprisingly good performance! With a very tight release of around 500 screens across the country, `Shor In The City` has netted around 3.85 crores in the first four days itself!

Despite losing out on a good first day haul, Rohan Sippy’s `Dum Maaro Dum` managed a decent first week. However, the film failed to capitalize on the comparatively weaker opponents in the second weekend, for which the lack of follow up aggressive campaign is to be blamed. But the Abhishek starrer has good chances of getting into the profit zone, after accounting for non-theatrical rights. The film though has failed in the Overseas but is better in the US.

Meanwhile, Anees Bazmee’s `Thank You` managed to last much longer than what many had imagined and predicted (based on a disappointing first day). The Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty , Irrfan Khan, Sonam Kapoor and Rimi Sen starrer has inched to an average status after accounting for non-theatrical rights. The film though has under-performed in the Overseas.
