| As expected due to the popularity of “D.K. Bose” and Aamir’s innovative publicity, `Delhi Belly` scored over `Bbuddah... Hoga Terra Baap`. And that is exactly what has happened. The 32 crore `Delhi Belly` opened to a 50-70 percent start at city multiplexes and even 75-85 percent at high end metro multiplexes. The single screens though are lower at 35-45 percent. The other release, Amitabh Bachchan`s 20-21 crore `Bbuddah... Hoga Terra Baap` started on a sedate note of 20-30 percent at the multiplexes. The single screens were higher with 50-60 percent and in some cases even 70 percent (in the Hindi belt). The collections did show an up tick during the latter shows. |

Last week saw the release of Indra Kumar’s `Double Dhamaal`, the sequel to his 2007 success, `Dhamaal`. The film embarked on a good start and improved with each passing day, during the weekend, netting a good 25.62 crores! Given the good start the film is hopefully all set to be a plus fare for many of its distributors! The film has also done very well in the Overseas (given the cast).
