| This week’s new movies are the Sanjay-Ajay starrer `Rascals` (released on Thursday), and the two Friday releases, Zayed-Diya’s `Love Breakups Zindagi` and Rajeev Khandelwal’s `Soundtrack`. Given the star power `Rascals` saw the best start (7-8 crore first day) followed by the decent start of `Love Breakups Zindagi`. `Soundtrack` is aimed at the discerning audience and was not appreciated much. |

Moving on, the good to decent opening of Vipul Shah’s John Abraham starrer, `Force`, was never in doubt, and it did precisely that. The film also maintained well during the weekend netting around 16 crores. However, it has fallen sharply Monday onwards and that is not good news. `Force` has not done well in the Overseas.

From the other releases of the week- `Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster`, `Hum Tum Shabana`, `Tere Mere Phere` and `Chargesheet`- it was just `SBAG` that fared well. In fact the film showed an upsurge in collections during the weekdays and may just about be a plus fare! The remaining releases have failed.

After a decent weekend, the collections of Pankaj Kapur’s, `Mausam` fell sharply during the weekdays. But what is more alarming is that film has crashed badly in the second week. The Shahid Sonam starrer may just about break even, that too after accounting for the non-theatrical rights. In the Overseas, `Mausam` has done quite well.

Meanwhile the Katrina Kaif, Imran Khan and Ali Zafar starrer, `Mere Brother Ki Dulhan`, saw a pronounced fall for the first time, but it hardly matters! The film has also done quite well in the Overseas.

Concluding yet again with Salman Khan’s `Bodyguard`, the film is now ending its amazing run after achieving Salman`s highest total in India (beating `Dabangg`). The film is also the stars biggest Overseas grosser!
