| This week’s new releases, the lavishly mounted thriller `Azaan`, Yash Raj’s `Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge`(fares best but with just 20 percent collections), Nagesh Kukunoor’s `Mod`, `Lo Dooba So Paar- It`s Love In Bihar` and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s `My Friend Pinto` have ordinary collections to show. It seems that the dull pre-diwali phase has really set as after `Mausan` and `Force` even `Rascals` has disappointed commercially. |

Last week’s major release, David Dhawan’s Dutt-Ajay starrer, `Rascals`, did see a good response on the opening day (Thursday- Dussehra) netting in excess of 7.50 crores, but the collections started sliding from the second day (6 crores) onwards. The 4-day extended weekend settled at around 23 crores and Monday onwards the collections fell heavily. Given the big budget `Rascals` will find the going tough. The film has been rejected in the Overseas.
