| Given the fact that `Desi Boyz` combined the winning `Garam Masala` duo of Akshay Kumar and John Abraham and also the live publicity blitzkrieg by the lead stars and the popularity of the title track , the film expected to embark upon a good start. However the opening day saw collections in 50-70 percent range and upto 90 percent in the north belt. `Desi Boyz` was also hit hard in parts of Maharashtra due to a ‘bandh’ call. The film did show a growth in the latter shows though a really big jump was missing. But the positive thing is that the WOM is , its leaning towards the positive, especially amongst the core audience, the youths, it and should benefit the film during the weekend. |

Concluding this week’s box office report with `RA.One`, the collections of Shah Rukh Khan’s Anubhav Sinha directed film have hit rock bottom in the third week, although the film was into the profit zone just after the first extended week. `RA.One` fails to improve its status but is still a semi-hit for it’s worldwide distributor EROS International. The film has also crashed in the Overseas grossing but is still Bollywood’s biggest hit of 2011 in that circuit.
