Sujay Ghosh`s Vidya Balan starrer, `Kahaani`, remained the favourite tale of the cinegoers even on the second Friday. The film has netted a good 22-23 crore (to be validated) in the first week itself, and seeing the way the second Friday has opened the film is on way to a super hit status. The film has also done quite well in the Oversas (especially US and the Middle East).

The other release of the same week, Samir Karnik`s `Chaar Din Ki Chandni` has failed to appeal to the audience due to the `Kahaani` wave. One feels that had it release a week later it would have succeeded for sure.
