| This week’s new solo release, Dibakar Banerjee’s Farooq Sheikh, Abhay Deol, Emraan Hashmi, Pitobash Tripathy and Kalki Koechlin starrer, `Shanghai`, was never expected to set the screens on fire, more so due to the still strong `Rowdy Rathore`. So it comes as no surprise that the film did not! Given the reasonable costs and despite a dull start (but positive reports and noticeable pick up) `Shanghai` still has good chances to get in to the profit zone. |

Meanwhile after a superb 48.50 crore weekend, last week’s Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha starrer, `Rowdy Rathore`, continued it’s box-office dominance, even during the weekdays, with rock steady collections. The film is also doing reasonably good business (distributed by UTV) in the Overseas (barring UK, where it is picking up. During the first week the Prabhu Dheva directed film has netted a huge 79-80 crore (to be validated once collections from all circuits come in). The film is expected to cross the 100 crore barrier by the second weekend, as we had already indicated.

| `Arjun : The Warrior Prince` |
Verdict: Average |
| Weekly Earnings: 1 crore |
Total Earnings: 1 crore |

Amongst the multiple releases of last week, it was only the animated `Arjun` which could appeal to it’s target audience, the kids! The film saw decent collections specially in metros and big centres. The will tide over to the profitable side, once the non-theatrical rights are in place!
