Last Friday`s `Dhamaal` embarked on a dull start in Bombay and the opening day was weak almost everywhere but excellent in Saurashtra. However, as the weekend progressed, the collections improved noticeably and the movie may succeed in some circuits, while business in Bombay will be comparatively better. In the overseas, `Dhamaal did decently in the UK but was ordinary in US.

Ram Gopal Varma`s `Darling` had a dull first day in Bombay and the opening was generally weak in many places. Unlike `Dhamaal`, the collections of the Fardeen, Esha and Isha starrer fell further as the days progressed. The film is not likely to be well-patronized and its low budget is the only silver lining , if one may use the term.

Yash Raj`s Shah Rukh Khan-Vidya Malvade starrer, `Chak De! India` continues its amazingly stable run. There was hardly any fall from the third to the fourth week. In fact, the Shimit Amin directed film is now setting records at the smaller centres and single screens (Nagpur, Amravati and Wardha). In the Overseas also , `Chak De! India` has consolidated beautifully. In fact, the trade estimates a neat profit of at least 5 crores for Yash Raj from the Overseas.
