Many different versions have been going around about the incident involving Aishwarya Rai, Shah Rukh Khan and director Aziz Mirza. Mirza was officially shooting his untitled release, a romance with music by Jatin-Lalit and lyrics by Gulzar. What occurred went through the media in different versions but the final outcome was Aishwarya’s replacement by Rani Mukherjee. The incident, however, took place when the shooting team stopped at a motel/dhaba in Nayagaon. In an official press announcement, an eyewitness, a journalist and BJP MP from Mumbai, Mr. Rajeev Shukla, released the following information to the media.
”…Just then Salman appeared on the scene and caught hold of Aishwarya by the neck and started to create a loud ruckus. Mr. Aziz Mirza (director) tried to intervene and even said that he is a friend of his father Salim Khan, but he just wouldn’t listen. Shah Rukh Khan also tried to intervene but he caught him by the scruff of his neck where there was a little brush off. At that point the bodyguards on the shoot tried to intervene but Shah Rukh gently pushed them aside as he did not want to create a scene.” This information was just revealed to the media in India as the investigations regarding Salman Khan continue to grow. Salman Khan was involved in an accident in which he “rammed his Toyota Land Cruiser into a cluster of shops in the Bandra suburbs here September 28 crushing one man -- identified as Kalim Mohammed Akbar Pathan -- sleeping outside a shop. Three others were seriously injured in the accident.” The car he had been driving, with cousin, a singer in Bollywood, Kamal Khan, has been officially released as registered to Abdul Rahim. Currently, the actor cannot travel abroad and even in certain parts of India. After being officially announced as ‘under alcohol influence’ while driving, without a license, Salman Khan has been summoned to appear at the Mumbai High Court on the 7th of October.
