The Scoop

Oops!

The entire shooting of Tijori Films’ Hindi-English bilingual film, Oops!, was completed recently. Written, produced and directed by Deepak Tijori, the film stars new finds Kiran Janjani, Vikas Sethi and Adyasha with Mink, Mita Vashist, Amit Thakur and Kiran Kumar. This is, of course, Deepak Tijori´s risque project which is said to have a few sensuous scenes and dances. The film deals with the story of the lives of backup dancers. Commenting on the film, the new actors expressed their feel that the lives of back up dancers in films are often over looked. It looks like Tijori is about to expose it! The film has music by Ravi Pawar.

Nepal Now ´Love in Nepal´

Remember the news we had given you about Rajat Mukerjee´s next Nepal? Well it has now been renamed Love In Nepal. The film began a month long shooting spree on November 25th, where three songs and scenes will be picturized. Being directed by Rajat Mukherjee (Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya, Road), the official star cast of the film is Sonu Nigam, Fllora, Rajpal Yadav, Ehsaan Khan, Rhea D’Mello, Vijay Raaz, Anil Nagrath, Raj Zutshi and Ganesh Yadav. Story-screenplay: Rajat Mukherjee and Sameer Arora (who is also penning the dialogues). Nikhil-Vinay will do the music for which Sameer writes the lyrics. T-Series is involved in the project, but the one  name that is missing is Ram Gopal Varma. One does remember that after Road released Mukherjee made it clear to the media that "I am not part of the Varma camp." Apparently, the words seem true.

Manisha Koirala Plays Indira Gandhi

Despite the negative publicity that actress Manisha Koirala has suffered this fall with Ek Chottisi Love Story, the actress has rebounded aplenty. Aside from several big projects she has been touring the country promoting the ´based on a true story´ Escape From Taliban. The film features Manisha portraying the story of a real woman (of whom she interviewed in depth). The actress was in Manhattan, New York, promoting the film stating clearly that "the film is not targeted at any religion and does not promote or discourage any religion as well. Religion is not an aspect of the film."

With that said and done, Manisha has also been signed to essay the role of Indira Gandhi. The film has been titled Indira Gandhi - A Tryst With Destiny’ and was launched on November 19th in Bombay. As previously reported on Planet Bollywood, the film be directed by N. Chandra and produced by Nittin Keni.  Hridaynath Mangeshkar will compose the music. Obviously it is quite clear that Manisha´s future in the industry has not been challenged by her recent controversy.

Bipasha Still A Part of Jism

Pooja Bhatt and Fish Eye Productions Jim is still happening. The film was rumored to have been canned but the most pertinent of the rumors was that Bipasha Basu had walked out of the film. The film, however, has entered its post-production unit and is readying for a release. John Abraham will accompany Bipasha as the male lead and like most Pooja Bhatt films M.M. Kreem (who recently stunned with Sur) will compose the music. It should be noted that model John Abraham was to be launched by Vikram Bhatt in Aitbaar (along side Bipasha as well), however, with the financial issues that the film faced Jism quickly gained steed and is scheduled for a release before Aitbaar.  After a spurt of non-interesting films, this one has Bipasha Basu playing the central character.

Ram Gopal Varma´s Next Ready

When Ram Gopal Varma launched Bhoot shortly before the release of his last production, Road, he joked adamantly of how fast the film will be finished. When he revealed that he would be releasing the much anticipated Rekha trailer during the intermission of Road, people actually thought the director could not do it. Well, hopefully the speed was worth it as Bhoot is almost complete with its full length trailers finished. The film stars Rekha, Urmila, Fardeen Khan, Ajay Devgan and Nana Patekar. Look for Bhoot early next year.
