Hey, I have to admit, it bored me too, because it lacked direction...you see, it's serious in the beginning, and you know there is a fall out between friends, but then it takes soooooo longs for them to make it to that point...mean while, character development was good, the love stories were different, it was modern and well directed, no cliches that you get sick of or over-dramatic scenes...but then where's the plot? Are you focusing on a younger guy falling for an older woman, or waiting for a fallout, and once it happens, you're stuck waiting for him and Preity to fall in love, which serves no purpose to where the director was initially taking you...so I thought it was not that great, I'm sorry. Agreed, Lagaan was good, that's besides the point...it too had a couple of flaws. But then this film lacked a focus and a motive...I felt like the film dragged.
