Naturally credit must go to the director, Rajji, but Madhuri’s small yet crucial role, as Janki, left an immense impact on the overall feel of the film. Her screen presence is like a breath of fresh air. A presence other actors and actresses rarely maintain. With every film I’ve noticed she just gets better and better. Films flop, but she can walk away from a bad film knowing she’s given a convincing performance. Like they say “good films flop and bad films become runaway box office hits”! I honestly thought that she wouldn’t be able to give another performance like she did in Mrtiyudand and Anjaam. But this lady never ceases to amaze me! Her 30 minute or so role in Lajja has her in her best from yet! And I get the feeling that she still has so much more to give! I believe there is another dimension to her, and I am very hopeful that as she is working with Bollywood’s better directors she will be overwhelming us, the audience, with her capabilities as an actress, a performer, a dancer, is there anything this remarkable actress can’t do?! take it easy now "BadiMushkil" se aayi hoon! xXx
