I agree as well...i'm not a big indian movie fan but I got a chance to watch this movie...i have to tell ya, this movie was nothing short of a masterpiece UNTIL they got to the ending...what was up with that ending? it totally ruined the movie...i didn't like the fact that they showed Manisha's character going back to her husband who was actually ready to kill her after getting his/their baby...i mean the man was abusive, he was a cheater and YET at the end she accepted her back! I mean come on, did that woman learn NOTHING from her pursuit to self-discovery...the world where women need to be independent, where women need to come out in the world and say "we don't need people to jerk us around?"...i would have loved it if Mr. Santoshi would have shown that woman standing on her own with determination, and aspiration to make a mark by starting a revolution or something along those lines, without her dumb ass husband...but i guess the whole concept of happy ending is very pleasing from the indian perspective...but geez people, it's time to wake up and step into the 21st century, I think it's way over due, for us women...i was disappointed that in the end they show Jackie Shroff holding the baby...i think that's symbolic of the fact that he's the MAN, he got what he wanted and he's still taking care of her...seriously, the writer of the movie could have done certainly a better job with the ending...
