yaadein...what a waste of time!! ghai talked about it like it was the best movie he's ever made. all it really was was a series of ridiculously shameless endorsements of coke and pass-pass. we don't pay good money to see advertisements. we get a lot of that on t.v. anyway. the movie could have been different and beautiful had ghai focused more on the father-daughter relationship rather than on the cliched filmi yes-no-maybe so love story of hrithik and kareena. and the supporting actors were just unbearable. hrithik's mom in the movie should get an award for her overacting as well as some lady in the background who did nothing but say "100 percent didi" every few minutes. the movie was in bad need of sharper editing. they could easily have done away with the 1/2 hour devoted to the bicycle race and the alligator island scene. hrithik swimming with the raft reminded me of lassie to the rescue or something. the soundtrack didn't help much either because every single song sounded familiar except maybe the title song. i feel ghai's really gone downhill after khalnayak...
