After reading the reviews and seeing their propaganda all over television and web sites I felt I should definitely write my opinion on what bollywood films were in the 70's and 80's and what they have become today. And Yaadein is the best choice to hammer on. I think that the film makers have lost their faith in audience. They know that there is no gurantee that a movie will be a hit or flop because I think Indians are the most difficult to predict when it comes to movies becasue of so many different groups (teenagers, college students, workers, rich, poor, middle class, etc.) Anyway so the film makers and everyone involved in the film are in only for the money, no question about it. Of course everyone needs money but when you're making a movie and presenting it to the public you have the responsibility to try your best and give the audience the best story, theme you can give. I think since people watch any movie that comes the filmmakers know that we're not putting emphasis on quality and content of the film we just watch it for killing time. Enjoyment from hindi film has been lost and seen once in a blue moon. I think if audience boycott these sort of movies and not even spend one cent on its music, theatre, dvd, etc. only then will the filmmakers realize to make an effort to make something good in content and value. I definitely thik that it's the people who decide what they get, not just in case of films but everything even the government. So this might have sounded boring but if you think each and everyone of us has the power to punish people like Subhash Ghai and everyone in this movie who takes audience for granted and makes a fool out of them. One person cannot do it by himself.
