I think ghai did a good job in the first half, the funny scenes and the relationships(hrithik-ghai, kareena-hrithik, the daughters) were nicely handled. As soon as hrithik and kareena fell in love, ghai simply lost it. The story was plain out ridiculous and the screenplay became worse.. People r over doing abt this coke, pass pass stuff...i don't think it really affected the movie. Even the crocodile thing wasn't so bad but the most patheitc thing abt this movie was the story.....the climax was laughable and the movie was already in the gutter b4 that.....it seemed like ghai was tryin his best to deliver someting more crappier then taal but thank god the performances saved the flick and made yaadein slightly better then taal-the-yawner. Performances wise, its hrithik roshan who steals the thunder, whether its comedy, dancing or emoting, he does it all with almost perfection, if it wasn't for him then yaadein would have been the most boringest flick of the year. Hrithik's comedy timin is pretty good, its rough at times but he will definately improve. Jackie was good but looked very uncomfrotable in some scenes and kareena was decent....she needs to work on her facial expressions. The suppporting cast was ok.. Overall, yaadein is a big disappointment from ghai, although it is still a lot better then many movies this year and heck its even better then taal but thats no achievement. The story is fu*ked up in the second half and the laughable cliamx makes yaadein one of ghai's most crappiest flicks.
