HAMESHAA is a mediocre movie. One expects more from G.P. Sippy. The story is the same old reincarnation tale. After PREM and KARAN ARJUN, the story started to wear out. Kajol plays a girl who is romantically involved with Saif. Aditya plays a rich snob who also likes Kajol and will do anything to get her. After a few failed plots to break the lovers up, Aditya gets nasty and shoves Saif off a cliff, instantly killing him. Kajol is heartbroken by her love's death so she kills herself also. The lovers are reborn later on but don't know of their previous ordeal. Kajol then plays a singer who is engaged to Aditya, not knowing his evil ways. At their engagement party, Kajol meets her previous love Saif, reborn. They are both drawn to each other but they don't know why. After that, the story is pretty much routine.

Kajol has done a fabulous job with her role as has Saif. The real winner of the film is Aditya Pancholi, who is making his comeback slowly, but steadily. Music by Anu Malik is so-so. The song "HAMESHAA HAMESHAA TU MUJH ME RAHEGA" is inspired as with the instrumental theme. Directing is okay on G.P. Sippy's part. The real let down, though, is the script. The same old story with the same old ending, violence, characters, et. al. The promos for the movie made the movie look like a "must see" film. After watching the movie, however, I say that it is a "don't see" film. A very medium fare from big banner names. Watch this if there is nothing else to watch.
