This is the first time somebody dared to bring reality of the two worlds on the silver screen. A must see for all living abroad.
The woman(Marima Choudhary) is Indian, raised in a conservative family. The boy is rich businessman's son in Los Angeles. Kishori Lal (Amrish Puri) liked Ganga (Marima) who is his friend's daughter. He commits to his friend, he would make Ganga his daughter-in-law. On his return to LA, he instructs Arjun(Shah rukh) to take Rajiv (Apoorva Agnihotri) to India, and make him fall in love with Ganga. Arjun is his son and Shah Rukh, the do-it-all adopted type.
Shah Rukh is superb, acting and effort. He was trying to coordinate the plan to his best efforts. But...... everything went wrong. Ganga was asked to visit the family in LA. She discovered the bad vices her future husband had. His pictures with girlfriends, smoking and drinking habits. And when Rajiv took Ganga for a trip to Las Vegas, he even tried to rape her. Turning point!! From then on Rajiv is the villain and Ganga turns to Arjun for help. All movies have happy endings, don't they!! So you know the end.
I would like to comment on Apoorva's commendable performance. For a newcomer, he was actually stealing the show with his good looks! Has great potential and would be fun to watch in the future.
