"Zor" deals with a very powerful subject, terrorism. It shows the deadly parts of terrorism and how innocent people get involved with it. The film could have been much better if the direction was better and if the film had a stronger script.

Arjun Singh (Sunny Deol) is a journalist who works very hard to make sure that the people know the truth behind every story. He lives with his father, Uday Singh (Anupam Kher), his grandmother (Dina Pathak), and his sister. He also has a friend, Iqbal Khan (Milind Gunaji) who works in the army. On the other hand, Aarti (Sushmita Sen) is a "slow" girl who also works as a journalist. After a few collisions Arjun and Aarti fall in love.

Meanwhile there is a scare in the city of terrorism. There are a lot of bomb blasts and innocent people dying. Uday Singh captures a few terrorists in a raid. Iqbal comes to Arjun's home, for Arjun's sister's engagement. There Iqbal runs away during the engagement and frees the terrorists captured by Uday Singh, and later kills them in a bomb blast. Then Uday Singh is accused of giving shelter to a terrorist and is put behind bars.

Arjun finds out that Iqbal is terrorist in Shah Aalam's (Om Puri) group. Iqbal tells Arjun that Satyanand (Mohan Agashe) a terrorist group leader in a disguise as a "sadhu" killed his grandfather and lover. To get revenge, Iqbal had joined Shah Aalam's group. Later Iqbal and Arjun both learn that Shah Aalam and Satyanand are in the same terrorist group, and plan on destroying the whole country.

How Arjun proves his father is innocent, and how he unmasks the evils in Satyanand and Shah Aalam is the climax.

Sunny Deol has given a brilliant performance. He is excellent in the action scenes, and the delivers dialogues wonderfully. Sushmita Sen also has given a good performance, though her role is short in the second half of the film. Milind Gunaji also delivers. The music of the film is good. Newcomer Agosh has given a couple of chartbusters like "Tere Pyar Mein."

The film has a couple of touching scenes. One of them is when Uday Singh is being taken to the jail and how people are throwing rocks at him, and how Arjun struggles to save his father. There are also a couple of good dialogues, especially in the court scene at the end.

The film could have been way better, as I said if it had a stronger script and better direction.
