MUMBAI: Actor Abhishek Bachchan and popular actress Karisma Kapoor would soon be engaged to each other, Karisma´s unlce Rishi Kapoor said on Sunday.

"Abhishek and Karisma will be engaged very soon," Rishi Kapoor, a cine actor, said, adding dates of engagement and wedding are yet to be fixed.

Abhishek and Karisma co-starred in the film Haan Maine Bhi Pyar Kiya.

"The date of the engagement has not been fixed since my brother, Randhir, his wife Babita and Kareena are out of town. The elders of the family will sit together and decide on the date of the engagement," he said.

Expressing happiness over Abhishek and Karisma´s decision, Rishi said, "we are all very happy for the two of them. They have been going steady for a long time and we are happy that it will now end in a nuptial knot," he said.

"We are especially happy for Karisma whose career has been moving ahead and we now wish her success in her personal life as well," he said, adding, the date of the wedding was yet to be decided.

Abhishek will be the second person from the Bachchan family to be engaged to a member of the Kapoor family. Earlier Abishek´s sister Shweta tied the knot with the son of Ritu Nanda, the daughter of Raj Kapoor.
