Viju Shah's PRITHVI doesn't come close to his TERE MERE SAPNE, GUPT or even AAR YA PAAR! However, die hard Viju Shah fans may still enjoy this album for there are a couple of catchy numbers.

PRITHVI is a T-Series release and T-Series' big-wig, Anuradha Paudwal, grabs the best number for herself! 'Hai Rabba' could just become the nation's new catch phrase due to Viju's racy rhythm and infectious tune!

'Jis Ghadi Tujhko' takes up half the album! This 'Ghazal-style' song is okay but is repeated too many times. Udit Narayan and Sadhana Sargam's version is the best, while Anuradha's version seems unnecessary! The third version, credited as a "Remix" is dire! Kumar Sanu and Sujata Trivedi (who?) warble their way blandly through the number, which in this version is set to a fast techno beat! (Big mistake!)

Udit Narayan and Kavita Krishnamurthy's 'Mera Dil De Diya' is much better. The song has an Arabian style which Viju Shah is great at. The song is reminiscent of 'Dil Diya' in AAR YA PAAR.

The last number, 'Een Meen Sade Teen' takes a lot of getting used to! Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik sound great, but the song is rather unconventional. PRITHVI will definitely have some chart topping numbers but they will hardly be classics!
