Gauging towards something different in keeping with trends established in 2002 vis a vis Deewangee (predominantly, though they couldn´t acquire half as good a musical score from Ismail Darbar), and the dastardly thrilling theme (and one half of the star cast) of Raaz, stunt director Tinu Verma is ready to release his next film.

Completed in a very short period of time, after Maa Tujhe Salaam became a mild success in North India, while trashed by critics, Verma has hoped that he has capitalized on the right idea in presentation for his next film the suspense thriller Baaz- A Bird In Danger. Shyam Goel has written the script for Baaz.

While comparisons are inevitable, Baaz would undoubtedly fall under the category of thrillers like Humraaz, Raaz and Deewangee. It´s Hollywood counterparts are aplenty, but its real competition will be paralleled when ´Kucch To Hai´ releases with it or in neck to neck proximity of it. That film is no different barring the premise and age group. In the end, each film has a mysterious murderer hunting their prey and a climax which revels in it all.

Baaz,  revolves around three handsome guys: Major Jai Singh Dabral (Jackie Shroff), Harshvardhan (Sunil Shetty) and Raj Singh (Dino Morea). In retrospect, three beautiful girls are their counterparts,  Neha Chopra (Karisma Kapoor), Preeti Rastogi (Preeti Jhangiani) and Aditi Govatrikar, who portrays the short lived ´doomed off the bat´ prey. Aditi previously played a similar role in her debut Soch (another thriller) for which she was quite appreciated.

As the story unfolds, it appears that it is no more than a love quadrangle between the three men in Neha´s life. Raj, who has won Neha´s heart, Jai Singh, who Neha is currently employed by and Harshvardhan who will leave no stone unturned to win her over. But as the story progresses, and a love is lost (Aditi Govatrikar), we soon come to realize that there is much more at stake here than romances. After her it is Preeti who falls victim to the one who has begun to kill. It turns out that a serial killer is on the loose, murdering the girls one by one, until only Neha is left. The needle of suspicion points at each of the three men from time to time. It is presumed that they are after Neha because she is the one they love but the reasons for their actions once revealed are far more than one dimensional. Baaz - A Bird In Danger is not only Neha´s struggle to survive the terror but a thrilling ride towards learning who is the mysterious killer.
