Bollywood´s most hot product is finally ready for his next release. Akshay Kumar, who went through the many ups and downs of the industry- ranging from relationship mishaps, signing and dropping of films to the title of one genre film starring, is probably the best contender for the elusive ´numero uno´ hero position today. None of the aforementioned rumors are boggled with his name anymore. Now, only professionalism, a sparkling hit record (that too accompanied with a flop here and there), and success are attached to Akshay Kumar´s name.

Henceforth, all eyes will of course be pitted in his subsequent releases. The ´search begins´ with Suneel Darshan´s Talaash. The Darshans, Dharamesh and Suneel, have always been a household name for Akshay Kumar. Flop or not, Akshay Kumar has openly stated that he can´t imagine being in the latest Darshan release. His loyalty has remain strong as even with a feeble script (Haan Maine Bhi Pyaar Kiya), he will indulge in the film. Suneel Darshan´s Talaash features him in what he does best, action and romance. Rather than keeping his favorite pair, Akshay Kumar and Karisma Kapoor, he has chosen the sister this time. Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor formerly set the screen afire with Ajnabee. Naturally, Kareena Kapoor is all praises for a role she describes as a typical Indian heroine who sings and dances to five songs - and does nothing else. (Tabu begs to differ).

-The Hunt Begins-

For them it was revenge. For him it was a challenge. A timeless ride on a ferocious mission. This is the theme for Talaash- The Search. Arjun (Akshay Kumar) is a high profile vigilante who soon encounters a problem when his mother (Raakhee) becomes terribly ill. He must set out to find her the medicine that will help ale her illness but finds himself in a predicament where he encounters trouble, evil and of course love. Arjun is already the number one person on several men´s hit lists and must overcome this and everything he encounters on his hunt.  When he begins the mission he meets the exuberant Tina (Kareena Kapoor). Tins is a glamour doll who is the one person who can help Arjun get what he wants. But before he can get to him she sets out with her father to South Africa. Now, Akshay must battle those that he has to overcome to get what he needs to help his mother and survive the wilderness. He embarks primarily to South Africa to trace down Tina and thus begins his search. What does he encounter? Can he kill repeatedly and still come out the winner?

Talaash has been shot on several different locations which have extensive photography by W.B. Rao to compliment the action by Abbas Ali Moghul, who previously did the action for Akshay Kumar´s last film Awara Paagal Deewana. Predominantly shot in South Africa, Talaash has key scenes canned in Rajasthan, Mumbai, Dubai and even a short portion of a set on wheels. Darshan has teamed up with some of Bollywood´s talented production units to ensure that the much needed element of action and style along with gloss and technical superlative qualities have been included in the film.
