'Apaharan' , Too Realistic For The Nasik Jail Superintendent !

Prakash Jha's next with Ajay after 'Gangaajal ' , 'Apaharan' , was shot in Nasik jail recently for a few days . Although Jha would have loved to use the jail inmates as junior artistes , he couldn't do so for security reasons. However , the junior artistes looked so real as jail inmates that the jail superintendent had to issue them identity cards and had to request the production manager to take their head count daily . The film starring Ajay Devgan , Nana Patekar , Bipasha Basu, Mohan Agashe and Ayub Khan, was mostly shot in Satara (Maharashtra) .

The people of Satara bade an emotional farewell to the actors when they left . 'Apaharan' was shot in 70 days spread over 5 months from December 2004 to April 2005 .
