Veteran actor Shashi Kapoor('Deewar' , Trishul' etc. ) is to inaugurate the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2006 , in Goa on November 23 while noted director Aparna Sen will be the chief guest at the concluding ceremony of the festival on 3rd December .

The director of the Ben Kingsley starrer 'Gandhi' , Richard Attenborough has been invited to attend the special screening of the film , which is to coincide with the centenary year of the 'satyagraha' by the father of the nation .
