Pakistani singing sensation Ali Zafar, who shot to fame in India with his acting debut in 'Tere Bin Laden' and later featured in Yash Raj Films’ 'Mere Brother Ki Dulhan', has expressed displeasure at Pakistani starlet Veena Malik’s behaviour.
Earlier, Pakistani actress Meera, who shot to fame in India with Mahesh Bhatt’s Nazar, where she co-starred with actor Ashmit Patel who is currently very friendly with Veena, had also blamed the starlet for disrespecting family values.
After Veena participated in a nude photoshoot for the Indian edition of FHM magazine with an ISI tattoo painted on her arm, Meera had stated, “Veena Malik is acting very cheap. The way she presented herself in front of Indian audiences is not right. She is denigrating the image of Pakistani women. This is not how women in Pakistan are.”
“She's doing all this because she is hungry for fame. She has no self-respect and is ready to do anything to become famous,” Meera added.
Veena gained popularity in India when she got invited on India’s biggest reality show Bigg Boss because of a controversy with one of Bollywood PR guru Dale Bhagwagar’s clients, actress Neetu Chandra.
She attracted further notoriety when she cootchie-cooed with another of the same publicist’s clients Ashmit Patel on the show! But when we asked Dale about Meera (who again happens to be another of the celebrity publicist’s clients) and Ali Zafar’s remarks on Veena Malik, he refrained from comment.
