Amitabh Bachchan Lends his voice for Shiv Sagar´s Arasari Maa Ambe

Amitabh Bachchan, who is associated with the brand of Gujarat Tourism, gives voice-over for Shiv Sagar’s debut directorial venture - Arasari Maa Ambe - India’s first 3D mythology feature.

The film chronicles the myth and history surrounding the Ambaji Temple in Gujarat from aeons ago.

Shiv Sagar, grandson of the Late Dr. Ramanand Sagar, earned a name for himself after his association with popular television shows like “Mahima Shani Dev Ki” and “Jai Jai Jai Bajrang Bali” as a creative director. Arasuri Maa Ambe, India’s first mythological film shot completely in steroscopic 3-D will release in early 2014 at the Ambaji Temple in Gujarat.

“When my dad and I approached Bachchan Saab, he immediately agreed. Dad, Mr Prem Sagar, and the Bachchan family go long back. Jayaji and Dad were studying together at FTII, Pune together.”

The film stars popular television actors like Tej Sapru (as King Daksha), Tarun Khanna (as Shiva) and Piyali Munshi (as Sati). Tarun has worked with Shiv before in “Kahani Vikram aur Betal ki” on Colors channel and Piyali played the lead role of Durga on another of Shiv’s show, “Jai Jag Janani Maa Durga” that too on Colors Channel.
