 The shooting of Anutag Basu's Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanak Chopra and Ileana starrer, 'Barfee', is on at the pucturesque hill station of Darjeeling, which is shown as Ranbir’s hometown in the film.Ranbir Kapoor will be seen in a totally new avatar. Not only will the actor have an extremely unconventional look, but also his character will be deaf and mute. This is for the first time that Ranbir would be playing someone with physical challenges.
After a 15-day gap, the shooting will continue in Mumbai, where Priyanka will start working for her part in August. As for the title 'Barfee', it was chosen because Ranbir’s name in the film is 'Murphy', and being mute, he mumbles it as 'barfee'!
