Vidya had to sweat it out to look her age

"After working with likes of Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgan, Saif Ali Khan, I am for the first time being paired opposite Shahid who is of my age. Hence, I had to go on yoga and dieting," she added.

Speaking about "Kismet Konnections", Vidya said like all Aziz Mirza films, this one too was about simplicity and emotions of a common man.

"I always wanted to work with Aziz after watching his films like 'Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman', 'Yes Boss', 'Chalte Chalte', 'Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani'. He is a sensible director, she said.

Replying to questions, Vidya did not feel that she has not sustained the momentum generated about her after her debut in 'Parineeta'.

"I have had blockbusters like 'Lage Raho Munnabhai', 'Hey Baby', 'Bhool Bhullaiya'. I was upset that 'Bhool Bhullaiya' was not nominated for awards in the categories it deserved," she added.

To question on criticism about her clothes, Vidya said she wears what she likes.

Speaking about 'Kismet Konnections', Vidya said the film shot entirely in Toronto, had an emotional appeal. The film was earlier titled "Lucky Charm" but the name was changed as the producers thought the title would not go down well with the small exhibition centres.

Kismet Konnections releases in July.
