Oscar, Grammy, BAFTA, National and Filmfare award winning composer, musician, singer AR Rahman, who has been in the news for being part of the Mick Jagger Super Heavy band line-up, is all set to perform at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles along with the LA Philharmonic this Sunday.

“This is a very special concert for us because normally when I do concerts and tours we do all the movie songs and extravaganza kind of stuff. But, the concept for this is all my theme music and all my instrumental music and to play it with L.A. Philharmonic,” said Rahman in an interview with Gibson Guitar.

The concert will also feature film montages projected onto big screens along with performances of Rahman’s music.

“Normally, when an Indian audience sees the movie, all the scores are done in the back and they don’t know how it’s done. Here, they can see it,” explained Rahman in the interview. He also revealed he will be performing “Changing Seasons,” and his internationally famous “Jai Ho.”

The Hollywood Bowl performance on Sunday will also feature Karsh Kale, Rhythms of Rajasthan, Bollywood Step Dance and Sher Foundation.

Looks like all the Rahman fans in Los Angeles are going to have a very musical and memorable weekend!
