Leh-Ladakh Cloudburst ; Bollywood Must Extend A Helping Hand!

A cloudburst past midnight followed by flash floods and mudslides caught the Leh-Ladakh residents, many of them fast asleep, last Wednesday. Some were washed away and many were seriously injured. As per the latest stats, the death toll has gone up to 130 even as relief teams tried to access far-flung villages in this high-altitude terrain to search for 600 others missing.

While the military and civil authorities are trying to do their level best, Bollywood, which has always stood up in such times is expected to to extend a helping hand once again.

The locals in Leh say that they have a close association with Bollywood stars like Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor and Hrithik Roshan, as they have shot for their films ('3 Idiots', 'Tashan' & 'Lakshya') and been very nice to Leh-Ladakh people and so expect them to raise funds for their rehabilitation.

Well, in this tragic time, we join our friends in Leh-Ladakh and appeal not only the mentioned stars but also to the film industry as a whole to rise to the occasion (like on countless previous occasions) and help the families of the unfortunate victims and also the survivors.
