Rahman had earlier collaborated to work with the group Superheavy, consisting of Rahman, Mick Jagger, Dave Stewart, Joss Stone and Damian Marley and also featured in Gems, Michael Bolton''s latest duets album.

“A R Rahman''s music has not only redefined contemporary Indian music but also transcended boundaries. This really is one ‘must see'' event not to be missed,” Gulf News quoted the event organiser Talent Brokers’ Richard Coram as saying.

For this concert, Amy Tinkham — the creative director behind live spectaculars by Britney Spears and Mariah Carey – will create a “theatrical experience that will blend new technologies with powerful dance arrangements and acrobatics,” a statement by Talent Brokers said.

They promise that the concert will be a mix of the Indian and the western with LED screens and a musicians and dancers from the world over.

Rahman is currently promoting the movie 'Rockstar' starring Ranbir Kapoor and Nargis Fakhri, which has music composed by him. Kapoor and Fakhri, will have a special performance at the University of Wollongong in Dubai to promote their film.
