Gulzar And Vishal Bhardwaj To Open The Golden Elephant Children´s Film Festival

New Delhi, Nov 4 (PTI) Noted lyricist Gulzar and director Vishal Bhardwaj will open the 16th Golden Elephant Children's film festival slated to begin in Hyderabad from November 14.

Gulzar, who has professed his love for children's films and Bhardwaj, who has directed films like 'Makdee' and 'Blue Umbrella', will also be present at the open forum discussions which will happen at the sidelines of the 6-day long festival.

"Both of them are deeply involved with the festival and are going to be present at the opening ceremony. They will also be staying for a few days to participate in the various open forum discussions," said actress and director Nandita Das, Chairperson of Children's Film Society, India (CFSI).

The association with Gulzar and Bhardwaj is part of an effort by the CFSI to involve mainstream filmmakers in the process of focusing the attention on children's films.
