Manassvi Nirupma Goswami and Ilashree Goswami make India proud at UNESCO

A proud moment for India, sisters duo from India make India win the first prize at Cinefantasy International Short Film Screenwriting Competition organized by UNESCO at Macao, China. 2016 saw not only Indian women winning in sports at Olympics, but also in fields of Cinema and Creativity. And when the Indian sisters, Manassvi and Ilashree Goswami were awarded the first prize by Maria Helena the Minister of Tourism in Macau, it is a big moment of pride and victory for India.

UNESCO, more than 70-year-old global organization, with its advisory body The International Council for Film, Television and Audiovisual Communication (ICFT) concerned with film, television and new media, organized CINEFANTASY International Short Film Screenwriting Competition, which is an International Young Talents Project dedicated to discovering and supporting emerging young writing talents (age group of 18 to 35) all over the globe.

Among 168 valid submissions from 44 countries,sixty were shortlisted and six outstanding scripts from China, Belgium, Canada, India, USA and Thailand were selected as the finalists.Their authors were invited to Macao and participate in the International Film Festival and Awards Macao (IFFAM), from December 8, 2016 to Decmber 13, 2016 to compete for the big awards on a global scale.

On 10th December these young writers stood up in a special public session in the Macau Tourism Center, presenting their works and narrating their dreams. Amidst the closing ceremony of the IFFAM on the 13th December, the final results of the competition were announced in the press conference at MGM Macau.

The first prize embraced the talented sisters from India and co-writers of the work "Legacy of Dreams", Ilashree Goswami and Manassvi Nirupma Goswami, making India proud and victorious at a global platform. They hail from Lucknow and now based in Mumbai. While Ilashree is a Regular Member with Screenwriters Association of India and has written various TV soaps and feature films, Manassvi is an Actor, Director and Writer, whose latest short, Blues was screened in NFDC, Goa.
