Satish Shah presents a supposedly hilarious comedy that nobody has heard of.  Interesting, huh?  Unlike most low budget films, well, the music isn't bad at all.  In fact, a few songs may enourage a consumer to buy the Compact Disc.  Ok, so I may be going a little far there, but for a Jatin-Lalit or Satish Shah fan, who knows?

Jatin-Lalit and Majrooh Sultanpuri have a history of great songs.  Starting with Yaara Dildara in the early '90s, and as late as 1995 with Khamoshi: The Musical.  Dhoodte Reh Jaaoge is a J-L-Majrooh quickie, well.  The songs don't have close to the same effort put into them as the early J-L hits with Majrooh.

"A Whole New World" comes back to life with J-L's rendition of it in "Na Tum Bolo".  Although the starting is a yodel of some sort, the familiar tunes from the hit flick Alladin cannot hide.   Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik pass with the song.

"Jaane Man Jo Hua"... wait... who made this song?  Jatin-Lalit or R.D. Burman?  You wouldn't know unless if you read this review, or the front label... or that Udit, Alka or Abhijeet never sung for RD on such a good quality tape.

The best song is a nice RDeque (when there is Rahmanesque, why not RDeque??) solo by Alka Yagnik.  She carries the song, along with simple music and a clever tune.  The lyrics are good.  The best part of the song is that when its over, you want to hear it over again.  But, I'll save you some time, and lets go on to the next number.

Another light song starts the second side (or the 4th song if you already have the CD).   This song has familiar tunes from J-L low budget films, i.e. the mid 90s Laqshya and Bhookamp Udit-Sadhna duets.  The song isn't brilliant, but its a passable number.  Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik carry the song again.  The lyrics are normal-- no offense, Majrooh, but its no "Ek Ladki Ko Dekha".

"Suno Honey Yeh Kahani" ... wait, wasn't it Majrooh saying that "Aati Kya Khandala" is "prostituation of the pen"?  Then what is this?  Its certainly not too much better.   At least "Aati Kya Khandala" is entertaining!

Whats up with these low budget films, huh?  At least this one has good music.    Well, if not good, its at least average-- typical Jatin-Lalit beats with a few interesting twists.
