Musically, 1997 has been a good year for Nadeem Shravan. They entered the year on the super success of  "Raja Hindustani". Out of their four releases in 1997, three were hits ("Judaai", "Pardes", and "Mohabbat" (music was hit, even though movie was not)). The only movie which never got noticed was"Jeevan Yudh". The year ended with the release of excellent music in "Saat Rang Ke Sapne" and good music in "Naseeb".

A-side starts out with a lively foot taping duet "Chanda sitare.........., main tumhare saath hoon zindagi bhar, tum mere saath ho" sung by Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik with great enthusiasm. The duet has typical NS tune suitable for Govinda's "jhatkas".

The second track, the best number of the album "Seene pe rakh ke sar ko kahin kho gaye the hum", is sung by Udit Narayan and KavitaKrishnamurti. It is an excellent romantic number with good beat and has a potential to be a chart-buster.

Kumar Sanu wraps up side A with a medium paced number "Kabhi jo bhoolna chahun, na jaane kyon mere dilbar, mujhe tum yaad aate ho?".The song has some unusually worded paragraphs; the way the second line is related to the first line is particularly different.

B-side starts with another complainer "Shikwa nahin kisise" sung again by Kumar Sanu. The song has piano music opening, typical of Hindi movie situation of  hero singing in a party when he is about to be separated from the heroine. The song has decent lyrics even though one may not agree with the idea of blaming everything on "Naseeb" (Naseeb mein nahin tha jo humko mila nahin). The tune and the lyrics are quite hummable.

Here we go again blaming somebody else for one's actions: "Tum hi ne meri zindagi kharab ki hai, tumhare liye hi maine sharab pee hai"(sure!). This time Babul Supriyo gets to gripe about the bad situation.

Thankfully, the album ends on a happy note with Kumar Sanu and Anuradha Paudwal singing a folk tune based duet "Chura lenge hum sab ke saamne dil tera". Different versions of the same tune have been tried by many music directors (including NS) in the past.

The musical team has delivered a good album (The only shortcoming may be presence of three sad situation songs in a Govinda starrer). But, will the good music be able to save a movie made by a team (Director Kirti Kumar and starring Govinda)  whose last venture "Do Aankhen Barah Haath" could not even survive a whole week in theatres!
