 |
| Although not as successful as the soundtrack of Rock On!!, London Dreams by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy is still worth a listen for the experimentation with the rock sound. Vishal-Shekhar`s Aladin has a beautiful track in the form of `You May Be`, which is becoming popular. Pritam is fast catching up with Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, which is being heavily promoted by Tips. Last week`s releases include Aao Wish Karen, which has music by Ankur Tewari, Mikey McCleary and Xulfi. The music is fresh, carries a pop-feel and has sensational singing by Kunal Ganjawala. He is definitely back! Daboo Malik`s Marega Salaa is stuck in time and appears stale, with most melodies similar to those created in the early 00s. `Aankhein Tumhari` by Sonu Nigam and Shreya Ghoshal, and `Parde Wali Baat` by Alisha Chinoy save the soundtrack. The music composer needs to re-invent himself! |

| Shekhar Ravjiani comes with one of the highlights of his career with the soulful rendition of `You May Be`. A beautiful composition from Vishal-Shekhar, the song has become extremely popular due to the amazing singing and the touching lyrics. Yet simple in orchestration, the number shows that simplicity is best. |

| # 2 |
 |
| Mann Ka Radio |
Singers: Himesh Reshammiya |
Best time to listen: Anytime |
|
| Film: Radio |

Public Rating (by 398 listeners): 5.23 |
|
| Music: Himesh Reshammiya |
Lyrics: Subrat Sinha |
Audio On: T-Series |
|
| Himesh Reshammiya is heavily promoting Radio and with a solid hit in the form of `Mann Ka Radio`, he can be sure he`s on the right track. However, the rest of the soundtrack, though good in melody, has been sidelined with this hit! What would have happened if all the songs were in the same genre? Hit or flop? |

|
.... And the No.1 Recommended Song of this Week is:
| # 1 |
 |
| Khanabadosh |
Singers: Mohan |
Best time to listen: Anytime |
|
| Film: London Dreams |
PB Music Rating: 8.0 out of 10 |
Public Rating (by 400 listeners): 5.21 |
|
| Music: Shankar Ehsaan Loy |
Lyrics: Prasoon Joshi |
Audio On: T-Series |
|
| Alongside with `Barson Yaaron`, this track is one of the highlights of the movie. An electrifying and lively number, from a soundtrack full of surprises! London Dreams is one of the better products from SEL this year. The emphasis on sounds, singing and instruments is highly prevalent throughout the soundtrack, especially this one. Fortunately, most rock songs do not necessarily need a `melody`; but `Khanabadosh` follows an unusual route. |
