| Although `Kai Po Che` hogs the top spot yet again, it`s been another bumper week for Bollywood music. Hope you are enjoying the purple patch! New releases since the last update are: 1.`3G` is a thriller featuring music by Mithoon. Does contain some melodious songs like "Kaise Bataaoon Mein" and "Khalbali". But the music lacks creativity (apart from`KMB Candabile` reprise version) so overall a tad disappointing. 2. `Chashme Baddoor` is a zany soundtrack by Sajid Wajid to support the comic elements of the film. Contains a mix of comic and romantic songs featuring Sonu Nigam and Ali Zafar. Not a bad effort and will probably work for the film well. 3. `Jolly L.L.B` is a satirical soundtrack by KRSNA (`Tanu Weds Manu` fame). It`s interesting for sure but focuses too much on Punjabi songs again. KRSNA needs to get over this style and move on. 4. `Ammaa Ki Boli` is the surprise package of the year so far with some cracking music! Featuring quite possible the most melodious romantic called "Aake Tere Kareeb" sung amazingly by Sneha Pant; Must listen. Other songs include a 1970s item number "Surmayee" are worth a hear too. Highly recommended! 5. `Nautanki Saala` is a bumper soundtrack with 13 songs and what variety is on offer here ranging from remakes such as "Dhak Dhak" to "So Gaya Yeh Jahan" and new age Ayushmann hits like "Saadi Gali Aaja". What brings it down a notch is the use of old songs from Falak Shabir and the usual insistence in having a Rahat Fateh Ali Khan song included. |
